About the event
Do you know the real Jesus? Seeing Jesus in his historical socio-political-religious context gives us a fresh vision of who he really was - and is. This has enormous implications. The way we see Jesus determines the way we see God, salvation, the Christian life, mission, and society. It becomes the controlling narrative that shapes our entire worldview, giving meaning to all of reality and the whole of life.
Alexander Venter well known Bible Teacher will present 8 lectures, based on his recent book, Know the Real Jesus. He will give an introduction to historical Jesus studies, then paint a portrait of Jesus the man - from his birth, to his mission, message, ministry and miracles of God's Kingdom come, to his suffering and death, resurrection and ascension.
The Retreat will be held at Carmel Coastal Retreat situated in the beautiful Garden Route overlooking Victoria Bay near George.
Alexander will be preaching at George Methodist at both the 8am and 10am services on Sunday the 10th of March.
